A near pair of French silver salt cellars, gilt interiors. Both hallmarked with unidentified maker's mark AL. One salt cellar furthermore marked with charge and discharge mark for Montpellier 1774–1780; the other salt cellar marked three times with maker's mark. Both marked with later hallmarks for silver fineness minimum 800; boar's head (Paris 1838–1962) and Minerva head (Paris 1838–1973). Total weight 170 g. H. 5 cm. L. 9 cm. (2)
