A MEISSEN CHINOISERIE TEABOWL AND SAUCER AND A MEISSEN CHINOISERIE TEABOWL The teabowl and saucer circa 1725, Dreher's to footrims, the second teabowl circa 1730, puce crossed swords mark and Dreher's to footrim Painted in the manner of J.G. Höroldt , one side of the teabowl with an Oriental seated at a table with a steaming bowl, the other with an Oriental lady by a fence, within shaped rectangular gilt scroll cartouches with Böttger -lustre panels and iron-red scrolling foliage, the interior with Indianische Blumen to the base below a border of gilt flowerheads divided by pendant husks and gilt band rim, the saucer similarly decorated with an Oriental seated with his elbow on a table within a similar cartouche and border, the underside with concentric iron-red circles; the second teabowl with four Orientals at various pursuits on terraces with shrubs and trees divided by four vertical gilt flutes, the base of the interior with a diaper-pattern 'salami' medallion, the rim with a gilt band border 5 1/8in.
