A LOBSTER-TAILED POT ( ZISCHÄGGE ) PROBABLY GERMAN, SECOND QUARTER OF THE 17TH CENTURY With ribbed two-piece skull, riveted bluntly pointed peak, pointed neck-defence of five lames, conical plume-holder, and with later cheek-pieces of four plates each, moveable nasal-bar with decorative screw, and spherical fluted finial, the main edges turned and roped, dome-headed rivets, and older black painted finish throughout Approx. 12¾in. (32.4cm.) high
