the body and base with moulded tendrils and shell decoration, the hinged cover with ball finial, scroll handle cast with a female bust, hinged lid, possibly engraved later on cover with monogramheight 9 41/64 in.; weight 48 oz.; 24,5 cm ; 1360 g.____________________________________________

le corps et la base moulurés de rinceaux et coquilles, le couvercle muni d'une prise en forme de boule, l'anse en forme de rinceaux ornée d'un buste féminin, le couvercle probablement gravé postérieurement d'un monogrammeheight 9 41/64 in.; weight 48 oz.; 24,5 cm ; 1360 g.Condition reportIn overall good condition. Usual dents and scratches commensurate with age. Fully marked under the base and cover rim. Assay scrape under the base. Impressive size.
