A large Chinese carved zitan wood panel with jade and turquoise, set in a hongmu wood frame and stand, Qianlong
H.: 184 cm - W.: 117 cm - D.: 47 cm (incl. stand) H.: 134 cm - W.: 96 cm (the panel) Provenance: A French private collection. Accompanied by a French export certificate. (see joint scans) The panel is part of a group of interesting, intricately carved zitan wood furniture. These exceptional works were created to the highest standards in the imperial workshops of Beijing to adorn the imperial residences. The stand may be of later date.
