A LARGE AND RARE CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL VASE, GU QIANLONG INCISED FOUR-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE SQUARE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-95) Heavily cast, the tall trumpet neck, bulbous body and gently splayed foot decorated with lustrous multi-coloured lotus and foliage meander, flanked by ruyi and stiff lotus petal borders at the shoulders, the tall neck with a further border of upright plantain leaves between borders of formal lotus sprigs and with an overlapping ruyi -head border below the squared gilt rim, repeated above the foot 22 3/8 in. (57 cm.) high
