A group of nine autographs from Captain Scotts Antarctic expedition including Captain Scott, Henry Bowers (store keeper who died with Scott on the return journey), Robert Forde, W Smyth, H Rennick, Thomas Feathers, E L Atkinson (surgeon), Edward Nelson (Marine Biologist) and one other. The autographs have been consigned by the grandaughter of William Cazenave owner of the Diamond Boat Building Co Cardiff. Cazenave was present at the Chamber of Commerce dinner held at the Royal Hotel in honour of the expedition on the 10th of June - two days before the Terra Nova set sail from Cardiff on it's way to New Zealand. Cardiff played a major role in the finance and preparation for the expedition which did not receive as much widespread support in other cities
