A grand piano by Götting, Vienna, circa 1830 The satin birch case raised on three turned and faceted baluster legs. The nameboard with a white glass plaque within a gilt metal frame inscribed: Johann GÖTTING in Wien. The six and a half octave keyboard CC–g4 with ivory naturals and ebony capped accidentals. Viennese action, bichord to EE and trichord above. Divided bridge. Three pedals, mounted on a lyre, controlling keyboard shift, moderator and dampers.
