Lot Description: A Good Late 19th Century Brussels Point De Gaze Needle Lace Fan , the crisp leaf mounted on completely plain "blonde tortoiseshell" or resin sticks and ribs. The leaf is designed with swags to the side and top, above which are roses and leaves of various sizes and detail. Within, a central spray of rather unusual flowers, certainly not roses, similar flowers to the reserves, the handmade ground scattered with tiny dots and meandering sprays of smaller flowers filling any voids. Guard length 11.5 inches or 29.5cm. Contained in an unlabelled cream silk covered fan box. Condition Report: . Very good, a minute repair to the ground noted bottom left of the central spray.
