A George III silver four-light candelabrum Mark of Paul Storr London, 1817 Baluster form on shaped triangular base, profusely cast and chased with foliage, scroll, shells and flowers, the base with lion and dolphin masks, the stem with two intertwined scaly dolphins and owls' masks, the detachable central light cast with wings and flowers, and with three foliate and floral scroll branches and central light each with circular drip-pan cast with borders of spiralling leaves and bullrushes, and with urn-shaped sockets with masks and flowers and detachable circular nozzles with flowers, scrolls and shells, the central light with detachable cast eagle finial, the nozzles each engraved with a crest, marked on base, central light, sockets, drip-pans, nozzles, and finial, the base also stamped 'RUNDELL BRIDGE ET RUNDELL AURIFICES REGIS ET PRINCIPES WALLIAE REGENTIS BRITANNIAS' 25¾in. (65.5cm.) high 250oz. (7,781gr.)
