A GEORGE II SILVER HOLY WATER BUCKET MARK OF JOHN HUGH LE SAGE LONDON, 1741 Circular with chased sides decorated with spiral fluting incorporating panels of overlapping shells, the body sitting upon a leaf-chased calyx which descends to a spreading foot with central girdle, the rim of the bowl chased with flowers and foliate scrolls, the similarly chased swing handle centred by a crested oval cartouche, marked underneath 8¼ in. (21 cm.) high; 8¾ in. (14.5 cm.) diameter; 21 oz. 10 dwt. (670 gr.)
