Circa 1875 The cannelee case engraved with trailing flowers and leaves, with oval bevelled glass viewing panel to the top, the sides mounted with pink porcelain panels decorated with gilt-framed reserves painted with scenes of birds flying amidst neoclassical gardens, each with a lake and castle in the distance, the dial similarly decorated with birds before a farmstead, with gilt-bordered white-painted Roman chapter ring, the centre decorated with artistic trophies and with retail signature BRYSON'S PARIS , with blued steel spade hands, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to lever escapement with bimetallic balance, with strike/repeat on gong to the back plate stamped for Drocourt and numbered 9917, the case with repeat number to the base plate 5½in.
