A FLEMISH EBONY AND EBONISED CABINET ON A GEORGE III STAND Late 17th Century Decorated overall with white lines and foliate corners, the moulded rectangular hinged top enclosing a well, the underside of the top with an oyster-veneered kingwood panel with a ripple-moulded border, the right-hand side of the frieze later hinged, above a concave-moulded frieze and a pair of quadruple-panelled doors enclosing a fitted interior with ten small drawers around a central door enclosing a mirror-backed sliding section with ivory and red tortoiseshell parquetry flooring and red tortoiseshell columns concealing three kingwood-veneered secret drawers, the reverse of the large doors each with an eared moulded panel, the sides of the cabinet each with four panels, above a long drawer, on a stand with a stepped frieze, on square chamfered legs, stamped 'FROM W.WILLIAMSON & SONS, GUILDFORD', one leg spliced, the decoration probably added in the 19th Century 57¾ in. (146.5 cm.) high; 39½ in. (100.5 cm.) wide; 18½ in. (47 cm.) deep
