Cary, Strand March 1st 1816. with corrections and additions to 1820. , made up of two sets of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores on a wood and plaster sphere, with graduated equatorial and ecliptic and four meridians, the oceans with an analemma and the tracks of Cook, Vancouver, Butler, Furneaux, la Perouse, Gore, Ross and Clerke with notes and dates, Antarctica with no coastline, but notes reading Islands & Firm Fields of Ice and 71010' the most Southn Latitude of Capt.Cook and Vast Islands and firm Fields of Ice , the continents with nation states shaded pale orange, green and yellow with some faint remains of outlining and details including towns, cities, rivers, mountains, deserts and the great Wall of China, Australia showing the boundary between New Holland and New South Wales, Africa with oases and copper mines, the Mountains of the Moon, NIME AMAY and UNKNOWN PARTS , North America showing territories of nations such as the Snake, Fall, Blackfoot, Rocky Mountain and Dog Rib Indians, and California labelled New Albion; the celestial CARY'S NEW CELESTIAL GLOBE, ON WHICH are carefully laid down the whole of the STARS AND NEBULAE contained in the Astronomical Works of the REVd F.
