Bodson à Liège, mid-19th Century With partly fluted octagonal sighted barrels with matt grey finish and encrusted two-colour gold decoration involving two tigers on each breech, gold signatures, patent breeches each decorated with two-colour gold, tangs en suite, blued sights, matt grey locks en suite with the barrels, figured walnut half-stocks carved in relief with scrollwork on the fore-ends and fluted pommels, matt grey iron mounts en suite with the locks, shaped baluster pommels, spur trigger-guards, blued triggers, gold-inlaid barrel-bolts (one chipped), and gold escutcheons: in their original fitted black-stained case inlaid with white-metal on the outside, the interior lined in plum velvet, with full accessories and padded cushion, the whole set in near-new condition throughout 16½in.
