With browned damascus twist barrels signed along the sighting rib at the breech and each rifled with eleven bright spiral grooves, blued folding leaf back-sights (one missing) from 60 to 180 yards and each with central gold line, and mounts for the original hand-detachable telescopic sight, border engraved case-hardened breeches each with engraved platinum plug and decorated with an eagle on the flat between, border engraved tang engraved with scrolling foliage, signed case-hardened flat detented locks and dolphin hammers each decorated en suite within borders of ropework, the former serial numbered on the inside and stamped with initials 'IB' for Joseph Brazier, the latter with blued safety-catch in front, highly figured half-stock with chequered pistol-grip and fore-end, steel mounts comprising chequered butt-plate decorated with scrolling foliage and a roe buck in a landscape on the border engraved heel tang, case-hardened grip-cap engraved with scrolling foliage, trigger-guard retaining some blueing on the inside and decorated with a stag and a hind in a landscape amid scrolling foliage on the bow, case-hardened trigger-plate with long finial decorated with foliate scrollwork, rear ramrod-pipe with pineapple-shaped finial en suite, circular case-hardened patch-box cover engraved with a prone male lion in a landscape within a foliate scroll border, foliate scroll engraved sling button with knurled edge, grooved forward trigger, silver escutcheon engraved with owner's crest and elaborate monogram, original brass-mounted ramrod, and retaining most of its original finish: in original brass-mounted oak case fitted and lined in tooled pigskin (minor old marks) with accessories including browned twist telescopic sight signed in full along the top and with leather-mounted eyepiece, brass-mounted powder-flask, circular brass percussion cap dispenser, serial numbered steel bullet mould and sprue-cutter, patch-cutter, lift-out tray fitted for turnscrews, cleaning tools (two replaced, one blade missing) and T-shaped combination tool, mallet, the head faced in leather, and turned circular wooden boxes, the interior of the lid with maker's trade label, the exterior with flush-fitting brass carrying handle engraved with owner's name 'R.H. Broughton Esq.r' and centred on a circular vacant brass escutcheon, London proof marks 70 cm. barrels
