With separate tapering barrels retaining virtually all their original deep lustrous fire-blued finish and secured by three finely pierced and engraved sliding iron bands also forming ramrod-pipes, the rear band made in one with a broad concave rib extending back to the barrel tang, the front band with integral gilt fore-sight, the barrels each with sighting flat running almost full length, the breeches and rib decorated with gold-damascened scrolls, foliage and strapwork, engraved bright steel tang secured by two blued screws and receiving the hooked breeches, signed border engraved flat bevelled locks each with stepped tail decorated with a differing scene of the chase within a landscape and with chiselled details on the cock and steel, blued steel-springs, top jaws and screws, the inner side of each lock stamped with locksmith's mark 'MG', an orb and cross between, moulded figured walnut full stock (some bruising) finely carved in relief with sprays of foliage, bright steel mounts finely chiselled in relief with floral and foliate decoration and with entwined confronted dolphins on the tang of the butt-plate, blued triggers and trigger-plate, turned finely engraved rear ramrod-pipe, and original iron-capped ramrod, in exceptionally fine original condition throughout, the butt-plate engraved 'No. 67' 41 7/8 in. (106.5 cm.) barrels
