A Dutch-engraved faceted large goblet and cover MID 18TH CENTURY, THE GLASS PERHAPS BOHEMIA Of slightly brownish pink tint, the large bowl with two three-mastered sailing ships with flying pennants flanked by a peasant steering a horse-drawn plough cart, a large church in the distance with two bell towers underneath the inscription 'T STAT EN LANS WELVAREN 'the prosperity of the city and the country', the lower part cut with arcades, on faceted hollow inverted baluster stem, on spreading conical foot, the cover with berried vine wreath and faceted spire finial 24.2 cm. high (2)
