A CONTINENTAL SILVER HAVDALAH COMPENDIUM, FOUR ENGLISH SPICE TOWERS AND A RUSSIAN EXAMPLE The first stamped N and a rooster facing left, the English examples London, 1892-1958, marks detailed below, the last St. Petersburg, 1894. The first on stepped and molded shaped circular base supporting rectangular frame with pull out drawer, interior quartered, issuing four rod supports for the adjustable candle-holder, topped by square open frame-- 8in. (20.9cm.) high ; each spice-tower with rising molded circular base with knopped stem, the hinged door with pull, the spire topped by sphere and pennant flag, the first spice tower with capstan-form body chased with flowers, with spread winged eagles at the corners, below with four pendant bells-- J. Rosenzweig, 1916-- 10in. (26cm.) high ; the second with filigree rectangular body, with pennants at the corners-- J. Fellheimer, 1892 ; the third with body pierced with stylized blossom at intervals, corners headed by eagles and below with bells-- 1932, M.S--10in. (26.6cm.) high ; the fourth octagonal, with pendant bells-- 1958, AT & Sn ; the Russian example capstan-form, part engraved, with open, eagle topped arcade-- the highest 11in. (29.2cm.) high, 32oz.
