A collection of World War Two ephemera relating to Pilot Officer Clifford Herbert Dearden of No.2 Squadron RAF who was shot down in Northern Belgium on the night of 31st May 1940 aged 20. Included in the lot are photographs, a framed commission certificate from March 1939, letters from family members, and from the Red Cross detailing where he was buried with a photograph of his grave. He is buried in De Panne Cemetery. He would have been involved in Tactical Reconnaissance in a Westland Lysander for the BEF from the evacuation of the beaches at Dunkirk.
