A COLLECTION OF QAJAR ROYAL MEMORABILIA STATIONARY Qajar Iran, late 19th century Comprising different samples of royal Qajar paper stationary including a small envelope of cream paper, the opening stamped in gold on a copper band with the title of Mozaffar al-Din Shah Qajar and the date 1313 AH (1895) around the circular emblem of the Shir-o-Khorshid (the Lion and the Sun) beneath the king’s crown, 8.2cm x 10.5cm; a folded headed letter paper, the top right with the Persian flag beneath the Kiani Crown, the paper watermarked Original Light Mill, 1858, 19.3cm x 15.6cm when folded; another, larger, the top centre with the letter M beneath Mozaffar al-Din Shah’s crown in gold, intertwined with two interlinking Persian Ms in red, watermarked Original Margaret Mill Treasury Vienna Manufacture and a quatrefoil containing flowers, 25.5cm x 20.3cm when folded; another, similar, with the king’s crown above the title within a circle surrounded by laurel leaves, watermarked as before; and another, with Zill al-Sultan’s title to the top left within laurel leaves beneath the emblem of the Lion and the Sun under a crown, dated 1302 AH (1884), paper watermarked Imperial Treasury De La Rue, 25.5cm x 20.4cm when folded; and three Zill al-Sultan red stamps marked with the Shir-o-Khorshid emblem, each 3cm diameter.
