A Collection of Nine Grants and Deeds, in Farsi, illuminated and decorated manuscripts on paper [Qajar Persia (Fars region), from 1272-1314 AH (1855-1897 AD)] 9 loose leaves, one with royal seal and illumination, all in either shekasteh or nasta'liq scripts, numerous seals and stamps, 2 mounted on linen, a few tears across old folds, one deed (on blue paper) split into 2 parts but textually complete, varying in size from 530 by 410mm. to 440 by 300mm. From the direct descendants of Nasser al-Din Shah Qajar, whose granddaughter was the present consignor's grandmother, and having passed by descent through that family since the nineteenth century. These documents all relate to the Fars region in Iran, which includes Isfahan and Shiraz, and belonged to the governor of the Fars region at the time, who was married to the aforementioned grandmother of the current owner.
