A Builder's Presentation Model Of The M.V. NARENDRA LAXMI Chr. Stuhrmann; Hamburg, Germany ca. 1948 A very fine and well detailed model built up from the solid and painted with black topsides, a rust red bottom and a red waterline. The deck of the model is painted a dark grey and is fitted with numerous details. These include: anchors, chocks, bollards, anchor windlass, ladders, deck railings, cargo hatches with veneer covers, ventilators, gangways, running lights, binnacle, life boats, cargo winches and booms mounted at the base of the masts, lifeboats on davits, funnel painted brown with the Royal Nepal Shipping Company logo, rudder, propeller and numerous other details. The model is mounted on a pair of turned mahogany pedestals and displayed in a glass case with a mahogany base. Affixed to the interior of the case are the model builder's plaque at the stern, and the name plaque at the bow stating the owner, builder and the principal dimensions of the ship. 63½ x 12 x 25½ in. (161.3 x 31 x 64.7 cm.) cased dimensions.
