A BRAZILIAN SILVER INCENSE BOAT, circa 1800, boat shaped on plain knopped stem resting on raised shaped oval foot, chased with flowerheads on plain and matted ground above scrolls with scalloped rim, two sides chased with flowers and foliate on matted ground, the ends with scroll enclosed flower, all bordered by bold scrolls, the cover half fixed, half hinged, the curved ends rising, and chased with flowerhead within scrolls, the hinged cover topped by horse's head finial, one side with chain and spoon-- 6¾in. (17.1cm.) high, 21.5oz.
