A BALKAN PARCEL-GILT SILVER DISH UNMARKED, PROBABLY SERBIAN, LATE 17TH/EARLY 18TH CENTURY Circular with scroll-chased domed centre applied with two gilded reclining stags, each with a revolving head, the sides chased with birds between four roundels, three with angels, the fourth with an eagle, representing the Four Evangelists all holding their gospels, a bead-punched border below the rim, the gilt collet foot pierced all round with small triangular motifs 4½ in. diameter (11 cm.) 5 oz. (157 gm.)
