Lot details China, circa 1800, for the Thai market. The shallow offering dish supported on a splayed foot, with a foliate rim, hand painted to the interior and exterior in green, aubergine, blue and yellow enamels and with iron-red, depicting a flowerhead at the center within a band of intertwined wan symbols, further surrounded by alternating floral lappets, the rim with floral decorations. The exterior with floral lappets connected by a red and yellow band. Provenance: From the property of a North German private collection, acquired prior to 1967. Condition: Good condition with old wear and some firing flaws, few minuscule chips to the rim, and two minor hairlines. Shallow surface scratches and traces of usage.
