The Lancia Fulvia does not need much introduction for the motorsport interested person. Also known as the tipo 818 it was Lancia´s competition car of choice during the late 60s and early 70s. It won the World Rallye Championship in 1972 when it was replaced by the incredible Stratos. Introduced at the Geneva Car show 1963 it remained in production an amazing 13 years fizzling out of production 1976. During this time it was of course updated many times and it came in three basic versions from the start. The Berlina or Saloon, the Coupe and the Sport. The Coupe is the car we have in the auction today and the Sport was the Zagato version of the Coupe. The early cars held the designation 1,3 or 1,6 whereas the later cars such as this one were known as the 1300 or 1600. The competition version, sold to the public were called HF and there were also HF rallys which were even more competition orientated. On offer with us here today is a wonderful example of the 3rd series that has a mere 22,000km recorded on its odometer which is reflective of its overall condition. The engine is said to sound very clean and with its very realistic reserve, represents a great opportunity to join the classic Italian sports car club.
