1972 Jaguar E-Type Series III 2+2 Coupé Lot Number120 RegistrationYNC 45L Chassis Number1S51466 Engine Number7S7991SB Odometer reading72,851 miles EstimateNo Reserve ResultSold - £43,680 Print details Send this to a friend 1 more image Restored example Current ownership for 17 years There is no denying the legendary status that is enjoyed by the Jaguar E-Type. From its arrival on the motoring scene in 1961 until the final car was built in 1975 this sports car from Coventry had an impact that is still felt today. Almost no introduction is required for a car that has received as many accolades as the E type. The Malcolm Sayer designed car has even had recognition by way of entry into the permanent collection of the New York City museum of modern art. We are always pleased to offer examples of the highly desirable E-Type as it is without question one of the definitive classics of all time. Registered on 5th December 1972 this 2 + 2 version of the iconic Jaguar E-Type presents well in the classic colour combination of Red with Black trim. Between 2006 and 2007 YNC 45L benefitted from a restoration which included the fitting of new doors and floor pans. This stunning Jaguar has been owned by the same engineer enthusiast since 2003. He tells us that since restoration the car has only had dry weather use and that this V12 engined Jaguar drives well. Recent works have included the fitting of four new tyres and rechroming of the bumpers. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until 1st September 2021 this Jaguar is without doubt a classic machine and is available without reserve. The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to Government guidelines throughout viewing and auction day.
