1970 Triumph TR6 *WITHDRAWN* Lot Number164 RegistrationNXC 97H Chassis NumberCP515970 Engine NumberCP50569HE Odometer reading73,547 miles Estimate£11,000 - £15,000 Print details Send this to a friend 1 more image Original UK supplied righthand drive 150bhp example DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL, THIS LOT HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN FROM THE AUCTION To modernise the Triumph TR5 that had evolved from the Michelotti designed TR4, Triumph looked to produce a new modern body. Triumph commissioned Karmann of Germany but the task was difficult as Karmann had to produce a new body style whilst retaining much of the original structure. The re-style included a new nose, wings and a new tail. The result was the 'Kamm' tailed TR6 and was produced between 1969 and 1976. The home market TR6 initially produced 150bhp but was later detuned to 125bhp. Due to their greater power output, the early models are sought after amongst the Triumph enthusiasts. Manufactured on 7th May 1970 and despatched to Archers Ltd in Solihull twelve days later, this TR6 was registered on 28th May 1970 and has been owned by the registered keeper since 1993. Finished in Damson with Tan interior, this Triumph comes with a hardtop and is fitted with an overdrive unit on the gearbox. Still bearing the fuel injection unit and presenting in good all round condition this 150bhp model is supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 26th May 2021 together with a Heritage Certificate. Sitting proudly on steel wheels and new tyres, this Triumph TR6 appears to be attractively estimated. The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to Government guidelines throughout viewing and auction day.
