1970 Maserati Ghibli 4,9L SS Carte grise française Châssis n°AM115 491974 - Restauration récente - Modèle mythique - Très bonne mécanique La Maserati Ghibli possède une ligne à couper le souffle imaginée par Giorgetto Giugiaro pour Ghia, avec ce long capot et ce pavillon bas et élancé. Elle est la concurrente de la Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona, qui adopte également un moteur avant, avec des performances semblables tout en étant dotée d'un V8 lui permettant d'atteindre la vitesse de 260 km/h (280 km/h annoncé par le constructeur). La Ghibli de la vente a été livrée neuve à Palerme en Sicile. Elle passa ensuite en Allemagne où son bloc fut endommagé ; il fut alors changé. Dans la vie d'une automobile sportive comme celle-ci, qui était faite pour rouler à hautes vitesses, il n'est pas anormal que son moteur ne soit plus celui d'origine. Elle arrive en France ensuite entre les mains d'un collectionneur du sud-est avant d'être acquise par notre collectionneur, architecte, producteur d'une excellente huile d'olive et éleveur de chevaux d'obstacles. L'essai de cette Ghibli nous a pleinement satisfaits. Nous avons pris un merveilleux plaisir à son volant. Mécaniquement, elle démarre au premier tour de clef, son ralenti est régulier, ses accélérations sont franches et sa pression d'huile très bonne. Nous avons attendus, comme il se doit, qu'elle soit en température pour monter les régimes. Quel couple ! Quelle puissance ! L'embrayage est efficace et les rapports passent précisément, son freinage et ses suspensions sont la preuve d'une automobile entretenue ayant bénéficié du plus grand soin dans sa restauration. Elle est de couleur gris canon de fusil avec un splendide intérieur en cuir havane refait, ainsi que les moquettes. Les photos de la restauration montrent une réfection totale de la peinture et de l'intérieur. Les soubassements ont été contrôlés ainsi que le moteur. Elle est livrée avec le livret 'parti di ricambio' d'origine et diverses photographies de la restauration. Sa combinaison de couleurs est splendide. Il s'agit d'un très bel exemplaire à ne pas laisser passer. It was a rival to the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona, also front-engined and with a similar performance, and was equipped with a V8 engine that gave the car a top speed of 260 km/h (280 km/h claimed by the manufacturer). The Ghibli in the sale was delivered new to Palermo in Sicily. It then went to Germany where the engine block was damaged, and subsequently changed. With an automobile as resolutely sporty as this, built to be driven at high speeds, it is quite common for the engine not to be the original one. The car arrived in France in the hands of a collector from the South-East of France, before being acquired by our collector, an architect, producer of an excellent olive oil and breeder of show jumping horses. We were completely satisfied with the test drive of this Ghibli, and took enormous pleasure in driving it. The car starts immediately, idles well, accelerates cleanly and has very good oil pressure. As one should, we allowed the car to warm up before revving the engine. What torque ! What power ! The clutch is efficient and the gear changes smooth. The braking and suspension is proof of a well-maintained car that has been restored with great care. The car is gunmetal grey with a splendid tan leather interior that has been renewed along with the carpets. The photos of the restoration show that both the interior and the paintwork have been completely re-done. The underbody and the engine have been inspected. It will be delivered with the original 'parti di ricambio' booklet, and various photos of its restoration. The colour combination is splendid. This is a superb example not to be missed.
