Beschreibung:

Regarded by many as the ultimate British sports machine of the 1960’s, the Bonneville was introduced in 1959, re-designed as a unit construction model for the 1963 season and the 1968 model was considered by aficionados as the ultimate specification. 12volt electrics were standard as were Amal Concentric carburettors and twin-leading-shoe front brake. The Bonneville saw production in three separate decades and proved itself immensely versatile as a comfortable and powerful road machine and as a production racer in both official ‘works’ team colours or in the hands of privateers in Clubman racing. The full history of this machine is not recorded, the engine number dating from 1967 and the frame number from 1968. It comes with the single carburettor modification. It appears from the registration document that this bike was perhaps re-registered in 1993. It comes with a Swansea V5 document but no records of recent MoT certificates and we feel therefore will be a worthy project for the usual careful recommissioning prior to using its obvious performance.
