Beschreibung:

The 1965-1966 cars were the smallest and lightest of the GT350 models. All 1965-66 cars featured the K-Code 271bhp, 289 motor modified to produce 306bhp. 1965-1966 GT350's were delivered from Ford's San Jose assembly plant as 'bodies in white' for modification by Carroll Shelby's operation, originally in Venice Beach and later at Los Angeles International Airport. All but one of the 1965 GT350's were painted Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue rocker stripes. The one exception was blue with white stripes. Contrary to popular belief, very few GT350's were delivered with the optional 'Le Mans' stripes which run the length of the car. According to the current Shelby American registry, approximately 50% of the 1965 cars built had Le Mans stripes. Today it's difficult to find a GT350 not so equipped. Fans of American Muscle, and even those not, can't help but be impressed by the styling, performance and appreciation for Carroll Shelby and his hugely influential sports cars. This superb example of the first generation Mustang has been restored and rebuilt as a Shelby GT350 recreation. The car benefits from a fully rebuilt 289ci engine which has had a fast road camshaft fitted together with roller rockers, Edelbrock inlet manifold and a four barrel carburettor. In addition to this, MSD electronic ignition has been fitted, together with lightweight pulleys, electric cooling fan and a baffled sump. The engine is said to produce over 300bhp. Finished in Wimbledon White with Guards Blue Le Mans stripes, the Mustang has the full Pony interior and this all sits very well on a new set of Torque Thrust alloy wheels, resulting in this being a Mustang with presence. Supplied with a V5 registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until January 2016 (no advisories). Looking great and sounding superb, for fun and attention, look no further.
