Beschreibung:

The F-Series is a range of full size pick-up trucks from Ford which have been sold continuously for over six decades. The most popular variant of the F-Series is the F150. It has been the best-selling vehicle in the United States for the past 32 years and the best selling pick-up for 43 years in Canada. The second generation F-series was introduced in 1953. The F1 became the F100 because of the popular culture influence of the North American F100 Super Sabre, the first supersonic fighter which first flew 1953. Increased dimensions, improved engines and an improved chassis were features of the second generation. 1953-54 saw the introduction of the new 239ci overhead valve, Y-block, V8, dubbed 'Power King'. The six-cylinder engine's displacement was also increased from 215ci to 223ci and power steering was introduced as an option and in 1954 the 239ci Y-block was replaced with the 279ci and 317ci. This very original example of the 239ci powered F100 has been maintained by the vendor using correct parts eschewing full restoration for originality and character. Presented in red with a matching red and black interior, it was imported from the US and used for the ensuing ten years as a daily driver. The wood rails in the rear section are in good order and it comes complete with a full one year MoT test certificate. Offered with no reserve, this represents a very classic Ford in sound order.
