Beschreibung:

1935 Baseball Scroll Autographed By 188 American Leaguers, Including Johnson, Cochrane, Gehrig, Mack, Foxx and Hornsby In 1935, Miss Flora Grove embarked on a mission to get every American League baseball player's signature on a handmade scroll. She created this wonderful scroll featuring a silhouette of a batter and crest on parchment paper. Per the accompanying Cleveland News photo and caption showing Miss Grove and her scroll, "she admits that one of the Indians helped a great deal in getting the signatures, but declines absolutely to divulge his identity." Hall of Famers on the scroll include Walter Johnson (Cleveland manager), Averill, Gehringer, Cochrane, Ferrell, Grove, Cronin, Appling, Simmons, Gehrig, Gomez, Lazzeri, Combs, Dickey, Mack, Foxx, Manush, Hornsby (St. Louis Player/Manager). The signatures of Greenberg and McCarthy have been deemed clubhouse. Twenty-three of the World Champion Detroit Tigers have signed as well as the entire starting lineup of the 1935 All-Star team. The scroll is in very good condition overall with some small edge tears and wear from age. It measureas 36 in. length by 12 in. width. LOA from PSA/DNA.
