Note: Wormley was an American modern furniture designer. In 1926 he studied briefly at the Art Institute of Chicago and then worked as an interior designer for Marshall Fields & Company. In 1944, while working for Dunbar, Wormley led their Modern focus incorporating European and Scandinavian influences into their lines. The result was furniture that was sophisticated yet mainstream, and very successful.
