Pasted to leaves within a half brown leather and cloth binding. Beautiful collection of original Victorian photographs of various views of Britain and Scotland including London Bridge and London street scenes, Victorian people gathered at the Royal Exchange, London, plus other city views, and cottages, hotels, churches and other architecture. Most photographs are captioned in white in the photograph, some are captioned in hand on the leaf margin (such as Shakespeare's Home). A few photographs from Frith's Series by Francis Frith (embossed on the photograph, "Frith's Series"). Several views of places like Haddon Hall and Warwick Castle and several views of Edinburgh. Two photographs of Scottish bagpipers, dressed in kilts and full regalia, plus a photo of sheepherders in the Scottish Highlands. Condition: Binding worn; photographs are near fine.
