(Presentation inscription from the authoress). FIRST EDITION PRESENTATION COPY FROM THE AUTHOR TO HER HEIR, inscribed to 'E.S. Mostyn Pryce, Dec. 10th 1896 from the Authoress' on front endpaper, with his engraved armorial bookplate. A popular account of Burton's life, in contrast to Isabel's exaggerated 'Life' and, more especially, in strong disapproval of Burton's so-called bed-conversion. Mostyn Pryce was Georgiana's heir to whom she willed her collection of Burton's letters from his time in India and Isabel's letters to her. Penzer p. 311-312. Isabel BURTON.
