Hand-coloured aquatint frontispiece and 23 plates, all after Rowlandson. Extra illustrated with an original watercolour by Rowlandson inserted at p. 171. (Offsetting from plates, very light browning.) Contemporary blind-stamped cloth, spine lettered and decorated in gilt, top edges gilt, others uncut, in a green morocco-backed slipcase. AN ATTRACTIVE COPY OF THE FIRST EDITION CONTAINING AN ORIGINAL WATERCOLOUR BY ROWLANDSON of the plate ‘Que Genus attends on a Sporting Finale’.
