"I cannot doubt that I shall find the subject discussed with the ability, the erudition & candour of which you have heretofore given pledges to the public." Miller, a professor at Princeton Theological Seminary, was most likely presenting his Letters on Unitarianism (1821). -- HARRISON, William H. A.L.S. ("Will m H. Harrison"), to Gen. John S. Gano, Cincinnati, 28 Nov. 1815. 2pp., 8vo . BATTLING AN INCOMPETENT CONTRACTOR: "Mr. Orr the contractor to the Army in the year 1813 has complained so loudly against me for obliging him to do his duty that I have determined to require an investigation" in the House of Representatives. He asks Gano to prepare a deposition in support. -- MONROE, James. Autograph check signed ("Jas Monroe"), as Sec. of State, 18 April 1814. 1p., oblong (2¼ x 7½in.), tipped to another sheet .
