The cover of the 24- page story book reads, "A Trip to Paris; A Laughable Game being a Faithful Account of What B. Fel (sic) One Jothan Podd." A reader is selected and proceeds to read the story, pausing at each blank, whereupon another player reads the answer selected from a card, often with humorous results. Box reads, "A Trip to Paris. A New and Laughable Game. 25,000 Transformations of Wit and Humor. Endless Amusement for Parties of 2 to 50." Original box repaired with thread. -- Peter Coddle's Trip to New York , 1858, Gould & Lincoln, Boston, MA, 213 cards. The cover of the 30-page story book reads, "Peter Coddle's Trip to new York, Three Games in One, First: Comprising a Game of Transformations; Second: Literary Patchwork. Third: A Literary Puzzle."
