Beschreibung:

MG shoe-horned the lightweight, aluminium, Rover V8, 3,532cc engine into the MGB to produce the fastest production MG in the company’s long and illustrious history. The lusty V8 developed 137bhp at 5,000rpm, giving the car 0-100mph acceleration in 25 seconds and a top speed approaching 125mph in overdrive top. It retailed at almost 50ore than the standard MGB and this perhaps accounted for the limited three-year production run, during which only 2,591 cars left the Abingdon factory. This car is presented in Aconite Purple livery, the interior is upholstered in brown cloth, a Webasto sunroof is fitted and the car is to manual specification. It is equipped with its original alloy wheels with chrome rims and fitted with an 8 track stereo. It was first registered in March 1974 and has been in the Patrick family from new. At the time of cataloguing the car had covered just 20,109 miles. It is offered with a V5 registration document and distinctive and valuable registration number and is expected to be offered with a new MoT certificate.
