Son précédent propriétaire, Giovanni de Paoli, l'a faite restaurer au début des années 2000 par deux anciens mécaniciens Alfa Romeo. Certaines pièces (durites, rotules de train avant, mâchoires de freins, cylindres de roues arrière) ont été remplacées chez Giglio Racing, à Toulon. La voiture était alors immatriculée à Genève, GE-1762651. Alors que M. de Paoli l'avait confiée à l'atelier Tissier, près de Nemours, pour une mise au point moteur, celui qui allait devenir son prochain propriétaire est tombé en arrêt devant la voiture, séduit par son état. Aujourd'hui, la qualité de la restauration est encore perceptible et la voiture se présente de façon impeccable. Elle est équipée de l'élégant tableau de bord en tôle peinte recevant trois gros compteurs ronds disposés en demi-cercle, ainsi que de sièges et contreportes habillés avec tout le raffinement italien. Elle bénéficie en plus du moteur 1300 associé à deux carburateurs Weber remonté dans l'esprit des modèles Veloce qui développait 90 ch permettant à cette sportive séduisante et légère d'atteindre prés de 180 km/h. Autre détail appréciable, une boite 5 a été montée permettant d'envisager des trajets autoroutiers avec sérénité. Fin 2012 la voiture a bénéficié d'une révision des freins pour un montant de 1700 € chez SARL Atelier à Chavenay. Il est rare de trouver une Giulietta Sprint aussi soignée et performante. Les amateurs d'Alfa Romeo ne peuvent pas s'y tromper. The previous owner, Giovanni de Paoli, had the car restored at the start of the 2000s by two former Alfa mechanics. Certain parts (hoses, front suspension ball joints, brake shoes, rear wheel cylinders) were replaced by Giglio Racing in Toulon. The car was then registered in Geneva with the number GE-1762651. When Mr de Paoli took the car to Tissier workshop, near Nemours, to have the engine tuned, the future owner saw the car and was bowled over by the condition it was in. Today the quality of the restoration is still apparent and the car is in impeccable condition. It is equipped with elegant painted metal dashboard with three large round dials arranged in a semi-circle, and seats and door linings upholstered with true Italian flair. Moreover, it benefits from the 1300 engine with twin Weber carburettors mounted in Veloce style with 90 bhp that powers this light and attractive sports car to almost 180 km/h. Another detail of note, a five-speed gearbox has been fitted, allowing the possibility of relaxed motorway journeys. The brakes were overhauled at the end of 2012 for the sum of €1,700 at SARL Atelier in Chavenay. It is rare to find a Giulietta Sprint that performs so well and in such good condition.
