Contemporary Swedish speckled calf, contrasting shaped panel with blind border on sides, gilt spine with arms, edges mottled in blue, marbled pastedowns (extremities lightly rubbed, small chip at head of vol. III spine). Provenance : C.K.B. (early initials on title) -- W.F. Willemssen (inscribed on title) -- Stockholm, Hammer Library (photograph showing the set in the Hammer Museum, Stockholm laid in). FINELY BOUND COPY OF THE FIRST COLLECTED EDITION of Swedenborg's main scientific works, his Principia rerum naturalium (Dresden, Leipzig: 1734) and his monographs on the metallurgy of iron and copper Regnum subterranemum sive minerale de ferro and Regnum... de cupro et orichalco (Dresden, Leipzig: 1734).
