comprising Sergeant Pash's eagle masthead discharge dated February 24, 1899, with two 8 x 5" mounted albumens by Henderson & Mayberry, Lookout Mountain of Pash and Company E companions in stateside training camp still armed with M1888 45-70s, plus another 10 x 7" albumen of Pash and fellow company sergeants now armed with M1896 Krag rifles, with three sundry printed receipts. A one page inked report written by Pash on November 15th, 1898, explains emergency medical treatment given to a Private J.F. Rigsby who was injured while "on mounted detail...riding a viscious sorrel." A 22" horizontal photograph rolled in a cardboard tube by Manning Bros. Aug. 30th 1927 showing a group of aging Kentucky Spanish American War veterans and their families also accompanied. Two identical RPPCs of an anonymous 6th Kentucky officer wearing veteran's medals also among the contents. Sergeant Pash was promoted from corporal on July 20, 1898, and served with Company E until mustered out on February 24, 1899. The 1st Kentucky served overseas in the Puerto Rican expedition and occupation during the Spanish American War. Condition: Photograph mounts worn and soiled, G. Discharge and report folded into thirds.
