(Title and last leaf lightly soiled.) Late-17th-century Dutch or English silver binding, covers with engraved decoration including a central oval containing a mirror-monogram K.A. surmounted by an earl's coronet, marbled endpapers, g.e.. maker's mark GM on covers, (clasp lacking, contents bound-in upside down), modern cloth box. Provenance : Georg Stirk (two inscriptions, one dated December 21 1663); K.A. (unidentified monogram, binding); Major J.R.Abbey (armorial booklabel, collection number 6255). A good copy of Jannon's miniature edition of the Greek New Testament, printed in la petite sédanoise . The covers with raised silver border with inner engraved border with foliage and acanthus leaves at the corners; in the centre the monogram within an oval border. The spine engraved with bands and foliage at the borders.
