(12 1/4 x 8 3/8 in.), eighteenth-century mottled calf, rebacked in morocco, corners restored, red morocco pull-off case by Bradstreet's, lacking "To the Reader" leaf, supplied in facsimile, title-leaf laid down on thick wove paper, darkened, rubbed and with some marginal loss, A2 repaired at gutter, lower corner of l3 (signed "h3") torn away with loss to 5 words and catchword, corner of 3c5 torn and repaired, 4-inch closed tear to s3, rust-holes to n3 and r4, q2 torn along inner margin, approximately 25 leaves with border rules cropped, ii3 with headlines cropped, scattered light spotting or foxing, particularly in second half, numerous small stains, faint dampstain at gutter of last 50 leaves, last leaf creased . SECOND FOLIO EDITION, first issue, second state (Todd's state Ib) of the title and "Effigies" page (A5r, i.e., the inner forme of the same sheet), title with engraved portrait by Martin Droeshout (third state), woodcut initials and head-pieces.
