Beschreibung:

A gentleman's wristwatch of steel. Model Submariner, ref. 6536/6538. Mechanical movement with automatic winding, cal. 1030. Black dial with patinated yellowed hour markers and hands. Rolex bracelet of steel with folding clasp. Circumference 23 cm. Watch diameter 37.5 mm. 1953–1955. Case back no. 6536–6538. Movement no. 570192. End link no. 380. Bracelet no. 9315. Middle case no. 6536. Serial no. 89326. This incredibly beautiful Rolex Submariner double-reference 6536/6538 is among one of the earliest and rarest of all Submariners. Produced during a limited period, this double-reference is a rare example of a transitional timepiece, as the case back displays the reference 6536 along with 6538 struck through by Rolex. This piece features an additional rarity for its ''Red Depth'' rating, as only few of the earliest models were manufactured with this colour marking. These extraordinary characteristics, combined with a small crown without crown guards and the wonderful black-lacquered ''Swiss'' dial featuring a grainy, ivory-toned patina makes this watch a very desirable timepiece that is rarely seen on the market.
All wristwatches up for auction were in working condition at the time of their consignment and inspection, but they have not been tested over a longer period of time. Since the wristwatches are in a used condition, no warranty is provided for their functionality or of the originality of any replaced parts in the wristwatches, such as the dial, hands, bezel, mechanical parts etc. If a recent service history does not appear in the description of the individual wristwatch, we recommend the buyer have the watch serviced. Payment is possible only by credit card in the salesroom or by bank transfer.
