The rare original and official program book for the 1930 U.S. National Amateur Golf Championship that was held at the Merion Cricket Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. Bobby Jones won the event, helping to complete his “Grand Slam” by winning all four major tournaments that year: The U.S. and British Open and Amateur Championships. Pages 51-57 (with ads in-between) gives the pairings and starting times for the initial qualifying round on Monday and Tuesday, September 22 and 23, 1930, with Robert T. Jones, Jr., being paired with Emery Stratton at 9:15am on Monday and 12:50pm Tuesday, on page 51. Includes: "Merion and Bobby Jones" by Grantland Rice; "The Opportunity for The Grand Slam" by O.B. Keeler; " The Amateur Golf Championships of 1928 and 1929" by Francis Ouimet; "The Friendly Battle" by Bernard Darwin; "A Few Lines of Merion Cricket Club History" with a photo of Robert W.
