Scarce map of Richmond, California, with the lands of the William Mintzer estate highlighted. William Mintzer (1856-1911) was a prominent member of San Francisco bar. He married E. Tewksbury, of the California pioneer Tewksbury family, which owned much of the town of Point Richmond . As an agent of the Tewksbury Estate, Mintzer sold a large portion of the land to Standard Oil for its refinery, as well as some fifty acres to Southern Pacific for a rail yard. The lands from his own estate, as delineated on this map, offered further areas of development. No copies of the map are listed in OCLC/WorldCat.
