This work reprints two speeches given at a Foyle's literary lunch held at Grosvenor House on 18 June 1935, to commemorate Lawrence. Hart's speech is titled 'Lawrence ''The Artist in War and Letters'' ' and Storrs' 'Lawrence. ''Himself'' '. This is the first book to be completed and printed by The Corvinus Press: the first book printed was an edition of Hart's speech, under the title Lawrence. ''The Artist in War and Letters'' , which was never issued. 13 of the 128 copies are in institutional collections ( cf . Nash and Flavell).
